FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Freshman midfielder Makenzie Malham was named SEC Freshman of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Malham notched her first collegiate assist in the first goal of Sunday’s match against Vanderbilt, then followed up with another one a minute and a half later. Against Florida on Thursday, she contributed to the attack and fired off a shot on target.
Malham leads all Razorback freshmen with four points.
The weekly honor is the first of her career.
Malham and the Hogs will be back in action on Sunday, October 16 to face No. 4 Alabama in Tuscaloosa. First kick is set for 11:00 a.m. and the match will be televised on SEC Network.
